Red Pill Realization
Have you watched ‘The Matrix’? If not, you will still figure out what I’m trying to say.
Have you watched ‘The Matrix’? If not, you will still figure out what I’m trying to say. So in the movie, there is this scene of Blue-Red Pill where the protagonist has to choose one of either pill, the blue pill would continue to keep him in the Illusion, whereas the red pill would make him aware of the Reality.
So, I’m gonna use this to metaphorically connect with real life.
The Blue Pill Realization
The life is pretty decent, get born, enjoy a blissful decade of school, go hard for graduation or even post-graduation, then have a family with a loving wife/husband & a couple of beautiful kids and then work till the rest of your life to manage this life your parents, school and society decided for you.
But is this combination of reasonable looking phases of life, life?
The Red Pill Realization
Let’s talk about — The System, it is not designed to help you but to enslave you, keep you occupied & docile, and stop you from dreaming and following your passion. No risks, no challenges, but comfort. Because if everyone suddenly became a dreamer and chased after what they wanted, rather than what their boss wanted, the system would collapse.
So, add a family, a mortgage, car payments, 401K, kids, a wife. You are now stuck, but the system will have you believe this is the only way to live. Your parents and their parents will also keep hammering it in, you must get a nice education, a respectable and well-paying job so that you can raise the next generation of mindless humans.
Talk to someone in their 80s and 90s, what do they care about? It’s never about how secure their job was or how stable their life was. They care about making money by doing the right thing, spending time with their loved ones, and creating a legacy that they believe is meaningful. They value integrity, respect, honesty, and compassion.
What do they regret? Playing it too safe. Not engaging in new experiences. Not doing something crazy and ridiculous. Wondering if they should have gone down that lesser-traveled path or not given up on that hobby.
You can be an author instead of a reader of your own life.
“This is your life and it’s ending one minute at a time.”
So, what would you choose, the Illusion or the Reality, the Blue Pill or the ‘Red Pill’?!
